NLT is an adult adventure game developer and creator of this point-and-click adults only game – Lust Epidemic. Stranded between the Uni entrance and his locked car, a developing storm prevents Brad (the main protagonist) from getting home. Thankfully, your friend (Simon) lends a helping hand but is unable to give you a lift back to the comforts of your own home. Instead, Simon is scheduled for a meeting at Saint Dame’s University – the rival to your very own East State university…and for a very good reason.

On-route to Saint Dame’s, Simon brings you up to speed on a tape in his possession that can potentially clear East State’s name, as well as deliver a punishing blow to Saint Dame’s (the Uni that blew the whistle on the gangbang movie at your own Uni). This tape looks to prove that a recent Channel 4 news report was set-up to slander your university. Armed with this video, East State is declaring war on Saint Dame’s and you’re about to walk right into the middle of it!

Lust Epidemic begins by setting the scene of a heavy storm and one thing we always love to see from retro-style developers, is that effort in creating as realistic atmosphere, within the constraints of the games chosen engine. FSB were really impressed with how Lust Epidemic achieved this, using great sound, light FX and the chosen perspective, to really give the player the sense of being right there with them (taking us back to first loading-up Zelda: a link to the past and a scene in FF7 (where Cloud takes the truck journey with Sephiroth).

One thing I admire is when developers create an immersive atmosphere with weather effects. Lust Epidemic creates this perfectly, during the games opening
NLT also makes great use of music throughout the game, with a calming piano score when exploring the university halls, to more chilling music when searching more hazardous environments (or when Brad and his friends are under immediate threat). The quality and variety of the music really grew on us and certainly helped surround the player in this world of fantasy and light horror.

The women of Lust Epidemic
Once Brad and his buddy park-up, you’re introduced to Saint Dame’s University and Lust Epidemic’s main cast. Even from the game’s opening, you’ll notice that NLT has taken the design of classic Hentai games, using detailed 2D character art to aid in character conversation and story progression. The 3D art style used (and then captured for the 2D dialog art) gives lust epidemic a more striking edge over other adult games that use similar techniques.

Lust Epidemic offers some very beautiful and busty babes! Katherine (the nun) was our personal favourite…and just wait until you see their sexy outfit extras!
Valerie: (grey hair, glasses and white blouse) – President of East State Uni and the wife of your brother. Val is much older than Brad’s sibling and they seem to be going through a rough patch…
Katherine – A stunning, large breasted Nun of Saint Dame’s, who is struggling to cope with celibacy (that’s handy, then!)
Amanda: (black hair and white blouse) – Simon’s mother and who seems to be upper management at East State. Amanda was also interviewed by Amber (below), the very interview that exposed the porn move and tarnished East State’s name. Understandably, Amanda can’t stand being around this news reporter.
Amber: (dark hair and a red dress) – The Channel 4 News Anchor, your childhood crush and the woman responsible for public outrage against your university! (East State).
While some character models do look very similar (Val, Amber and Amanda), NLT does a great job at creating and maintaining the personality of these strong and successful women, throughout. The sex scene animations, developing story and the way characters adapt and change towards each other, really help bring this erotic fantasy to life.
The quest for sex – A point-and-click sex adventure with an adult twist!
Once you’re introduced to the characters, a relentless storm will force the group to spend the night at Saint Dame’s. Slander, mystery and stories of the supernatural will fill the air, as you point-and-click a sexually frustrated Brad to objectives, new locations…and pretty much most men’s sexual fantasies. The first few hours will see Brad build the trust of the beauties but as the story progresses (and the sex gets hotter), you’ll also help Brad discover what’s really going on behind the dark and lustful haze of Saint Dame’s.
Lust Epidemic may be an Adult Only game, but it has some nice touches that help it shine as a point-and-click adventure. The camera will move to other perspectives to help further deepen the immersion of the player (e.g. taking first and third person perspectives when Brad discovers certain clues or item objectives). Outdoor environments make me wish this was what Nightbreed: The Movie had played like back in the 90’s. Maybe it’s that mystical forest music and supernatural threat that lingers with Brad, that takes me back to Nightbreed’s top-down travel map. If only it had something like NLT’s touch, here (Zelda, FF7 and now an Amiga move tie-in’s…Lust Epidemic is really getting me in the retro gaming feels!).
Adding more weight to this sexy point-and-click, are the sweet touches to Brad’s audio dialog. This is due to Lust Epidemic taking the same approach as Zelda games (only using audio for certain player reactions). However, what gives it that great edge, is the variation of tonne to existing audio dialogue. This also helps give more life to the main protagonist, while not becoming too repetitive for the player.

Lust Epidemic is a classic point and click at heart. This easily makes this one of the best “Adult Games” as there is simply a lot to do here, rather than just clicking through text and waiting for the next sex scene
Interacting with the beauties will give you the following options:
Talk – Get to know them, find what they need to gain their trust and fill their heart meters
Play – Once you’ve filled enough hearts, you can have some fun with them in a more private location (only for non story-related sex scenes)
Heart Up – Only used in hard mode, where you’ll need to find/unlock heat containers before you can fill them
During his horny stay, Brad can always access a quick menu (RC) displaying any items collected for use and the overall map of the current floor. NLT has put a lot of thought into how the map can help the player:

The ease of finding newly unlocked doors is thanks to the map system – highlighting them is green. There are also gentle waypoint guides that are designed to aid the player during the games opening
Recently acquired keycards will have the corresponding door/s marked green on the map. Any locked/restricted locations are marked red and the game will even display faint arrows to story-progressive locations (but only in the first couple of hours, just to help you get used to the Universities layout). Later, the game will even introduce Fast Travel. These teleports are a god-send as Brad will need to explore both in and outside of the University as the game progresses. While we did only encounter a couple of fetch quests that were more difficult than they really needed to be (only one or two story-driven objects were far too hidden in later forest missions), overall highlighting of items and objectives were well defined.
Tease me – The sex in Lust Epidemic
I must say, the game has a great build-up to the sex and NLT won’t just thrust this upon you. Instead, after hearing about the leaked ‘Mothers Gangbang’ movie, Brad becomes incredibly frustrated with the fact that he’s still a virgin. This translates really well to the gameplay as Lust Epidemic plays to this, tastefully teasing you/Brad with hot peep shows, sexually fuelled dinner conversations and even the AC cutting out during the games early stages (so from then on out, all female character art will depict them with blouses open and bras exposed – nice touch!).

Lust Epidemic masterfully teases the player at the beginning. Don’t worry, getting involved in the games story and gameplay will reward you with some of the hottest visual-novel sex we’ve seen!
The slow sexual build-up also works well with games unlockables. Brad will find a Karma Sutra book in the games early stages. Once found, objectives (as well as secrets) will uncover its missing pages, unlocking new and exciting sexual positions to enjoy with each beauty!

Believe us, this is just the start. Lust Epidemic may be visual-novel focused in its sex scenes, but they get hotter and hotter as the game progresses (and nothing is censored!)
While Brads sexual knowledge and experience builds, you can also find gold coins that are scattered throughout the games full environment. Collecting these will allow Brad to purchase upgrades…and ones that we’ve been waiting for in an adult game for a long time – unlockable sexy outfits for the babes!
Outfit and costume unlocks
Grab those gold coins! Collecting these amazing little shinny things, will allow you to bring up for phone from the main game menu (RC) and select ‘Bonus Area’. Clicking this will whisk Brad away to a room filled with unlockable outfits for each beauty.

We don’t want to spoil too much, so here’s a peek at just the ‘teasing’ sexual scenarios you can carry out to Katherine (in her unlocked ‘Sexy Nun’ outfit).
Katherine (the sexy nun) was just begging to have her sexier nun lingerie outfit unlocked (and she has a few more!). Amanda also looked jaw-dropping in her hot gothic corset and stockings! NLT has created an adult game that holds very strong to the ‘game’ aspect of this genre, offering a very atmospheric and well thought-out opening (playing on the characters lack of experience with women and strategic progression system that always dangles the carrot). Lust Epidemic will offer over 25 hours of point-and-click gaming with sex scenes that begin at ‘teasing’ level, to then steadily progress to scenes you enjoy in your favourite porn films!

FSB look forward to what else NLT can bring to the table in terms of fully interactive sex scenes and model variety (think of the games adult scenes as more ‘visual-novel’) but Lust Epidemic is still a surprisingly long and deep story-driven adult game. Solid scene setting /introduction, good story development, hot sex scenes and heavy emphasis on actual gameplay, has produced the best Steam Adult Only game we’ve played so far (at the time of this posts publishing date).
Lust Epidemic is even available for all mobile platforms, as well as PC.
